Our Doctors are Board Certified, Family Practitioners, and must receive 50 hours of continuing education per year and re-certify every 10 years.

David Cantu, M.D.

Dr. Cantu has been setting the highest standards of excellence in family medicine for nearly 25 years! He earned his medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical School before completing post-graduate training at John Peter Smith Hospital. An esteemed member of the medical community, Dr. Cantu is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine, and an active member in many leading medical organizations, including the:

  • American Academy of Family Physicians
  • Texas Medical Association
  • County Medical Society

When not in our office, Dr. Cantu also works as an ER physician at Hill Country Memorial and is an active member of the First Baptist Church. He enjoys spending downtime traveling and camping with his family.

Yvonne Haug, M.D.

Dr. Haug has been delivering the highest quality medical care to her patients for over 30 years! She completed her medical education at the UT Health Science Center before completing additional medical training at the St. Paul Medical Center. A family medicine specialist, Dr. Haug is double board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, and the American Board of Internal Medicine Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Dr. Haug is an active member of both the Texas Medical Association and the County Medical Society. She is Medical Director of Hill Country Memorial Hospice Care and 2 area nursing homes.  Her medical interests include:

  • Gynecology
  • Geriatrics
  • Preventive Medicine
  • Hospice Care

When not in our office, Dr. Haug works as a Hospitalist at Hill Country Memorial, and cares for patients in hospice and in nursing homes.  She enjoys spending downtime with family & friends, and traveling.
